YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Marc Dann’s resignation as Ohio attorney general yesterday afternoon was for the best, Mahoning Valley officials agree.

Dann, an attorney and former state senator from Liberty Township, tendered his resignation to Gov. Ted Strickland roughly an hour before the two appeared before reporters at a 4:45 p.m. news conference. He stayed long enough to deliver a brief statement, leaving Strickland to field questions from reporters. [MORE]
